MEET OUR FAMILIES

Maria and her son Justin were paired with our organization in 2009. Although Justin passed away in 2012 after his fight with cancer, we have maintained a close relationship with Maria by offering our support in every way possible. Justin loved butterflies, so we use the butterfly to symbolize his life and his courage. Justin's bright personality lit up every room and brought a smile to everyone he encountered. His enthusiasm in the face of enormous challenges was an inspiration to us all.

 

Maria, his mother, remains one of the strongest people we have ever met. We are there for her when she needs us. We THON to honor Justin's memory and to fight for other children with cancer.
