Newsletter--September 8th, 2018

Hi friends! THON is 160 days away, but we know it will be here before we know it! We have had two meetings so far this year, and they were both great ways to reconnect with older members of the org and meet new members. The executive board is working on planning several exciting events for this year, so stay tuned! Also, Check out our "Executive Board" tab to learn more about us.

In terms of fundraising, we are planning a canvassing weekend on October 5-7 in Mechanicsburg, PA. Devon and Dana, our fundraising chairs, are working hard to plan other alternative fundraisers for this fall, so keep an eye out for these events in the future.

This summer, our family relations chairs, Dominika and Jared, planned some events to stay in touch with our families. Jared spent a day at Hersheypark with the Downies, and Dominika planned a trip to Knoebels with Maria, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to flooding. In the coming weeks, we are working on facetiming Maria and the Downies during a meeting! We’re excited to continue building relationships with our families this year. Also, today is Krissy’s birthday, so be sure to reach out to her and wish her a happy birthday!
