Hi friends!
We have a lot of exciting events and information regarding our organization to share with you all! First and foremost, our organization will have TWO DANCERS for THON 2019! They will be chosen closer to THON, but we are so excited to have people representing our org at THON. Also, we recently selected a Secretary for this year, Rileigh O’Brien! She will be responsible for sending out our recap emails, designing new merchandise, and keeping track for the points list for THON 2019. We will be sending out a short bio for her in a coming email!
Fundraising
We will be having our first canvassing weekend THIS WEEKEND in Mechanicsburg, PA at my house! I’m so excited to host our organization and get to talk to my community members about THON. Dana and Devon are also planning another canvassing weekend in Hershey, PA before Thanksgiving, so we will definitely be busy fundraising for our org! Also, we will be starting penny wars between Oriana Singers and Glee Club within the next few weeks. The director from the choir to raise the most money will get to pie the other director in the face!
DonorDrive
Our DonorDrive’s for this year have been set up, and we are working on customizing our org’s pages along with each individual page. Family Relations
Thanks to our awesome FR Chairs, Dominika and Jared, we have successfully been paired with the Downie family and the Burns family again! We are working on facetiming them during one of our meetings so that we can catch up and introduce them to our new members. We are also trying to meet up with the Downies either during the canvassing weekend at my house or at Knoebels for their fall fest!
Donor and Alumni Relations
Thought your days of sending out THONvelopes and online fundraising for THON were over? Think again! This year, alumni, parents of students, and basically anyone who is not a student are able to fundraise for THON through THON Nation and Inspire5. We will be sending out more information in a specialized email for these platforms, but stay tuned for that email and get excited to continue your involvement in THON!
